Description
This Ibanez JTK1 (Jet King 1) was originally a budget-friendly and entry-level instrument, produced by Ibanez in the Cort factory in Indonesia, May 2003.
It has become a sought-after classic, appreciated for its quirky design, “Butterscotch Transparent (BT)” finish, large chrome pickguard, and versatile coil-splitting abilities!!
The 2003 JTK1’s have a natural headstock, whereas the 2004 models have a painted black headstock. In 2005 the one-piece neck was replaced by a three-piece neck and after 2005, the model was discontinued.
The JTK1 model was an homage to the Japanese “pawnshop” copy guitars from the 1960s. It features asymmetric, rounded “horns” that resemble a Teisco MJ-2 or a FujiGen-built EJ-2.
The dual humbuckers each have a rocker coil split switch ,dividing the double coils into singles and giving this guitar a fantasticly broad range of sounds to choose from .
This guitar is pre-loved with some signs of wear, as shown in pictures but is playing beautifully and with its butterscotch orange finish , aluminium scratch plate and asymmetric body shape ,it’s an absolute stunner!!
