This stunning Godin 5thAvenue P90 Kingpin Archtop, has been very generously donated, to raise money for the Rothbury Estate Appeal, by  Singer-songwriter Nev Clay. Nev creates the most beautiful ,funny poignant songs.His words are often couched in the reality of his everyday observations of life here in the North East.He is a fantastic but humble guitar player. Every time I see him play, I come away chuckling, amused and moved in equal measure!

He has donated this guitar to raise money for the Wildlife trust to help in their campaign to buy the Rothbury Estate, to preserve it for our precious North East wildlife and for our local community.  Nev said ‘ that whole area around Rothbury is so special ,….so beautiful and atmospheric and it’s probably fair to say that visits there as a teenager changed my life.”

He hopes that donating this guitar inspires others to donate too !

The Godin 5thAvenue P90 Kingpin itself is a gorgeous guitar. Crafted out of Canadian Wild Cherry , the top and back are moulded into a Archtop , in traditional 1950’s style . The Guitar itself  is exceptionally resonant, with amazing projection and a rich, warm tone. This is then amplified by a single coil P90 pick up, giving a liquid clarity to the Vintage Tones as well as a bit 0f bite and attitude when needed!

It features an  adjustable bridge , a floating faux tortoise shell pick guard , cream binding , and classic F holes completing the beautifully styled 1950’s look!
