Tokai was a guitar Manufacturing company that was set up in Japan in 1947, two years after the end of the war. Restricted from exporting weapons in the decades after the war ,Japan created their own self imposed ban in 1967. With a culutural commitment to high standards, Japan then threw all its energy and expertise into manufacturing to a impeccably high standard to rival the highest quality products made throughout the world .

The Guitars produced in Japan have a very high reputation ,due to the quality of the builds.Tokai is one such company and these Tokai ‘Gold Star Sound’ as very high quality copies of Fender Stratocaster and are now greatly prized in themselves!

This Tokai Gold Star Sound Stratocaster is no exception.Beautifully made with a gleaming gold finish, its Gotoh tuners keep its in tuning rock solid however hard you bend that trem.Its 3 single coil pickups and 5 way switch give it a fantastic wide range of tones ,rivalling a Fender Stratocaster in the quality of sound.
