This Magnificent, Semi Acoustic Burns TR2 was created by the famed Geordie Guitar maker Jim Burns in 1963-65.
It was a revolutionary Guitar for its time, as it was the first Active Guitar on the Market, with an added booster to the Bridge Pick Up.
It is also the only semi acoustic that Burns made, beautifully crafted with carved solid front and back, and a wild, horned body shape, it is a guitar with one hell of a swagger! Originally given an Orange SunBurst Finish, this colour has has faded with time,giving it more of a Tobacco Burst finish, that totally suits the look of the Guitar!
Set up to play like dream by Curvy Sounds Luthier Andrew Mills, it plays like butter, with a deep, rich tone with an added 60’s twang , given by the 2 Custom Burns Ultra Sonic Pickups!
The Unique Tremelo system designed by Burns, bends the notes with ease and is all original apart from the Whammy bar.
It has seen some action, and has some marks and wear on the Guitar, but nothing that detracts from its overall look, and apart from the Whammy bar , all parts of the guitar are original, as Burns made it!
